Listen to Our Youth

Dear Adults, we should give our youth of all ages credit for being capable of handling discussions about race, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, etc. Do you really think they are not already exposed to these ideas? Do you think pretending you don't see differences callows for the creation of truly inclusive learning spaces? In a beautiful manner, this student is asking us to see color and to see and celebrate differences. We need to follow our students' lead. We need to listen. They can lead the way.
